Umang Bhatt is an assistant professor and faculty fellow at the the Center for Data Science at New York University. He is also a Senior Research Associate at the Alan Turing Institute. His research interests lie in trustworthy machine learning, responsible artificial intelligence, and human-AI collaboration.

Bhatt was previously a summer fellow at the Center for Research on Computation and Society within Harvard SEAS, a fellow at the Mozilla Foundation and a research fellow at the Partnership on AI. He received a joint bachelors-masters in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, and spent his PhD years in the Machine Learning Group at the University of Cambridge where he was advised by Adrian Weller.
